What this site is

Colombia Real Estate publishes general information about buying property in Colombia, and offers introductions to independent professionals. It is not a real estate brokerage, a law firm, an accountancy practice or a licensed advisory service, and using it does not create a professional or fiduciary relationship between us.

Not advice

Nothing here is legal, tax, immigration, financial or investment advice. Property law, tax rules and visa requirements in Colombia change — several key figures are re-set by decree every January — and they apply differently depending on your nationality, residency and circumstances. Engage a Colombian real estate lawyer and, where relevant, a cross-border accountant before you commit money.

Accuracy

Figures are checked on the dates shown and sourced where possible. Currency conversions use the TRM stated at the foot of each page (3,121.07 as of 12 August 2026) and will drift as the rate moves. I make no warranty that everything here is current or complete, and I accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of it. If you find an error, tell me and I'll correct it.

Introductions

Professionals I introduce you to are independent third parties. I don't employ them, supervise them or guarantee their work, and any agreement you reach is between you and them. I receive a referral fee from the professional if a transaction closes, paid out of their own commission — see the about page. Do your own due diligence regardless of the introduction, including using a lawyer of your own choosing.

Your use of the site

Don't scrape it, don't republish substantial parts of it as your own, and don't use it to break the law. Text, layout and images here are mine unless credited otherwise; quoting a passage with attribution and a link is fine and welcome.
